It's the old latin word for truth, interesting word I feel.

"truth"

Perhaps one of the most used words in any language. Politicians tend to like it, as do Generals. lawyers adore this little word, it's cute, cuddly and can be used to mean almost anything.

But what eaxctly is truth?

Simply put, truth is whatever you want it to be. Truth can justify anything you want, declare something to be a truth, hold onto it and it'll save your life and soul. Problem is people will kill for truth, people will die for truth.

You can build an empire on truth and just as easily destroy one. Truth can free a nation or it can enslave it. You see truth is a nasty little bugger, hard to pin down, hard to nal to the floor. But is very easy to write on a banner or throw into a speech.

But worst of all, truth is an addiction. Once you have established your "truth" it is the only truth, it is the one truth it is the truth you swear by, live by, fight by and one day die by. God/Eris/Bhudda/void/insert chosen belief here help anybody that gets in the way of your truth. You see we have an urge to promote our truth and to either convert, defeat or ignore anybody who tries to confront your truth with theirs.

Few people have the honesty to admit that no one truth is the right or wrong way, too many use their own set of truths as a crutch.
