Calypso #2
(a psalm for those who sleep)

details faking a wholeness.
a whole without division.
division without diversity.
diversity without a wholeness.
in all the days are we lost.
and only beyond it are we found.
steal against
and temper the mettle of your heart
into the darkest shining smile
ten thousand winters
to rest in lay
hold with me here
in dreams we are i

Calypso #3
(a song for wanderers)

would it be too much to stay here, in the gentle rolling valleys beyond the mountain q'af. where the hidden imam strays and wonders about ignorant save for sweet breezes of a gentle chaos strewn about the fathoms of the ignorable egypt of my soul?

speak not the names of the dead, for they are anathema unto my children. and unto the living do they have power, as the blinding darkness of that sand torn sea attests.

As-salaam Alaikum
hail eris! and praise be upon the pretiest one, the most glorius of the hidden gods secret within. hold fast teh jade to your bosom friend. and when you meet her- grin and say hello again my friend, as you embrace the end.

(inspired by the aural journeys partaken by the secret chiefs 3 and their listeners. highly recomended)

Calypso #4
(man with a camera)

not every song has words, not every story a happy ending. we aren't the good ol
boys out for truth n justice, we're super heroes on welfare with bad hips.
i can't find an apology for that accident late last year, when randy fell under the
forklift, and jim forgot to care.
it may be my imagination, or it may be the smell of your hair, but those big brown
eyes keep looking at me, and i'm to stoned to stare.
so what is all this about manners? i held the door for you, it wasn't much and you
said thanks. satisfaction comes in pairs.
so take me back home, to the pink floyd clouds
and the never ending crowds
full of lunatic fringes and anticonformist consumers.
everyone here is minority, everyone is not a part. no one here is famous.
celebrities in tailor made parts.
