Clarifying More Misconceptions

We Erisians do not create or cause chaos.No one can. We can create confusion,disorder and strife, but not chaos. We can manipulate eristic/aneristic vibes, but we cannot create chaos. Chaos creates us. Chaos shapes us. The best we can say is that we humans created the NAME Eris.

In my many years on Spaceship Gaia, I have encountered many discordians who seem to think that discordianism is only about acting so weird that no one can stand being around them, screaming out " " all the time, and genuinely acting like drama queens. Discordianism is waaaayyy more than that. Erisianism is about being yourself. Finding your way through the chaos that surrounds us. The Hon. Hagbard Celine once warned (in the Illuminatus!Trilogy) that the L.D.D. not only stands for Legion of Dynamic Discord, but also stands for Lots of Deluded Dopes.

Eris does not command that we go forth and cause chaos. All Eris wants us to do is be free. The Principia Discordia was the first religious tract that actually basically came out and said "Think for Yourself,Schmuck". It should have also said "Speak for yourself, Asshole".

Discordianism is NOt a Pagan/Wiccan Tradition. There is nothing tradional about discordianism. In fact, the variousPagan/Wiccan traditions are just different Discordian cabals. So are Buddhism, Taoism (actually, the Taoists were the first to come out and admit it. Look up the Tao te Ching and read up on the "The Mysterious Woman and The Mother Of The Ten Thousand Things"), Christianity, Judaism, Islam,and so on and so forth.

The Principia Discordia is not the final word on discordianism, it is only the first words. The P.D. is only an "Introduction to the Erisian Mysterees, Which is Most Interesting", and it is just the Opinion of the Joshua Norton Cabal (Surrealists, Harlequinists, Absurdists and Zonked Artists Melee- has anyone else noticed that that spells Shazam!? Goddess I love Mal-2), and we are meant to write our own Holy Books. I sure did.
